Music teacher He came to Strakonice in 1969, becoming the schoolmaster and violin teacher at LŠU (the People's School of Arts). He introduced bagpiping in the school. For his pupils, he created the textbooks School of Bagpiping and Bagpipe Études. He was active in the musical and dancing collective of Prácheň. He founded a bagpipe music group for children and later participated in the origin of bagpiping in Strakonice. In 2015, he was posthumously awarded honorary citizenship of the town of Strakonice.
