Viktorin Siebert
Engineer, colonel of the Imperial Field Artillery In his last will written in 1685 in the military camp at Ráb, he bequested a sum of 10,000 gold pieces in favour of the hospital for men and women in Strakonice. Within the will, he had defined the way patients are supposed to be clothed, the daily prayer regime and the extent of treatments. The hospital building in the Řepnická brána suburb area was purchased by Siebert's father Wincenc Karel (then-mayor of the town). In 1948, a retirement home was opened in the hospital (now Lidická Street).
