Czechoslovak representative in gliding In 1957, he attended and won the first republic championship. In 1958, he got the bronze medal in the free class at the world championship in Leszno, Poland. He would represent the republic up until the 1970s. Afterwards, he moved on to work as a professional pilot for a chemical company. On the Strakonice-Tábor-Strakonice track he would create a Czech record of 80 kph with his Blaník VT – 13. The record has not yet been broken in that particular glider class.
