Ing. Jan Žák
Ski runner and trainer, introduced to the Sports Hall of Fame of the region of Strakonicko He was a member of the Czechoslovak junior representation team. In 1956–58 he attained two titles of the Master of Czechoslovak Army as a member of DUKLA Liberec. A member of the Czechoslovak biathlon national team. In 1980, he would start a professional training career in the Top Ski Sports Centre in Zadov. Along with Stanislav Frühauf, they developed numerous ski running representatives, including our all-time most successful ski runner Kateřina Neumannová. He was active as a trainer in Slovenia and returned to Strakonice in 1994. In 2008, as a retired sportsman, he and few other enthusiasts went on to found the Biathlon Sports Club.
